Lavery leaves Shielfield

Midefielder Darren Lavery has today left the club via mutual consent.

Lavery, who began his Rangers career as a striker, moved to Shielfield in the summer of 2011. During his time in Black and Gold Lavery scored a number of important goals, including the goal that saw the ‘Gers overcome Spartans and earn a place in the 2015 Scottish Cup Quarter Final.

Overall Lavery made 243 appearances for the club, representing the club as captain on numerous occasions, making him the 17th longest serving ‘Ger of all time. Furthermore, Lavery’s 64 goals for Berwick sees him sit third in the list of all time top goal scorers, behind Eric Tait and Ken Bowron.

The club would like to thank Darren for his efforts over the last seven years and wish him the very best for the future.
