Laidlaw signs up for next season

Berwick Rangers Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of Arran Laidlaw, a promising young talent, from Arniston Rangers on a pre-contract. Laidlaw is a dynamic centre-forward, and will be bringing an impressive goal-scoring record to the Dream Team next season.

Laidlaw came up through the ranks at Bonnyrigg Rose and has gone on to play for Haddington Athletic, Tyncastle and Vale of Leithen, and most recently Arniston Rangers.

In his first full season with the East of Scotland Division 1 side, Laidlaw scored 37 goals in 38 games, while providing a further 5 assists.

On the signing of his new forward, Gers’ boss Thomas Scobbie said “ I’m delighted to agree a pre-contract with Arran, his goal-scoring record speaks for itself. I know there were a number of teams interested in him, so we are delighted he has decided to join us. After meeting and speaking with Arran, his hunger and desire to test himself higher up was evident, and we are really looking forward to him joining our group next year.”

Arran will join the squad at the end of the season, upon the conclusion of his current agreement with Arniston Rangers.
