Jimmy Fleming

The Club are saddened to learn this morning of the death of former captain Jimmy Fleming who was a member of the 1960 Quarter Final team against Glasgow Rangers. We pass our condolences on to his friends and family. We received the message as below:

It is with sadness I write to inform you of the death of my father and former Berwick Rangers player Jimmy Fleming after a long battle with dementia.  He played for Berwick from 1958-61 and served as club captain during this period. He made 70 appearances for the club. He had previously played for Stirling Albion and Workington Town.  After football he ran his own successful plumber’s business.

He is survived by May his wife of 66 years, three sons and eight grandchildren.
