Jamie Pyper is back!

Berwick Rangers are delighted to announce the return of former captain Jamie Pyper, after a deal was agreed between the ‘Gers and East Stirlingshire.

The 31 year-old centre back joined Berwick for his first spell in the summer of 2021, as Stuart Malcolm’s first signing. As club captain, Pyper made 54 starts, 12 substitute appearances, and scored 3 goals. He left at the end of the 2022/23 season, and joined fellow Lowland League club East Stirlingshire, where he was also club captain.

Pyper quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite at Shielfield for his unwavering commitment and determination, and Jamie was at the heart of some memorable defensive performances. He now reunites with Thomas Scobbie and Dean Shanks as the ‘Gers look ahead to crunch fixtures across the next 6 weeks, including home matches against former SPFL rivals Albion Rovers, Cowdenbeath and East Stirlingshire.

Jamie has signed an 18 month contract, which will see him stay at MKM Shielfield Park until the end of the 2025/6 season.
