Horn adds Hamilton

Robbie Horn has today recruited another striker with Jack Hamilton signing on loan from Championship side Livingston.

The 17-year-old, who began his footballing career at local side Eyemouth Juniors, signed a two year professional contract with Livingston in the summer and made his competitive debut in July during the Betfred Cup. Hamilton has spent the first half of 2017/18 on loan at Penicuik Athletic where he scored an impressive 12 goals and got one assist in just 18 competitive appearances.

Robbie Horn is delighted to have Hamilton in his squad and admits he’s very highly rated: “We welcome Jack to the squad and I think he will be a great addition. He’s highly thought of by Livingston and his previous loan club and my local team Penicuik where he had a good goal scoring record. Jack is only 17 but he is powerful, good in the air, quick and can finish”.

Hamilton is a local player so the manager hopes the signing will provide a bit of extra interest in the club: “He stays in Coldingham which is fairly local to the club and there are family connections with Berwick so hopefully it will generate a bit of local interest too”.

The loan will allow Hamilton to train with the ‘Gers twice a week and the club would like to thank Livingston for agreeing to the deal.
