Harry gives ‘Gers the Wright stuff!

Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm the signing of 19 year old midfielder Harry Wright, on a loan from Stirling Albion until the end of the season.

The right midfielder joined the ‘Binos after highly impressive youth development at Hibernian – which saw Harry play for their Under 18 and B sides, and train with the first team at times. Stirling Albion saw off interest from a number of teams for Harry’s signature in the summer of 2024, and despite an injury-hit season, Harry was still able to make 21 appearances for the SPFL League Two club and earn a contract extension.

Berwick manager Kevin Haynes added, ‘We’re absolutely delighted to bring Harry Wright to Berwick Rangers for the season. He’s a player we’ve admired for some time – technically gifted, composed in possession, and with a real hunger to develop. Despite a stop-start campaign last year due to injuries, he showed flashes of real quality at Stirling Albion, and we believe our environment will help him to kick on.

Harry adds depth and versatility to our midfield, and his attitude in training has already impressed the coaching staff. He’s got the ability to unlock defences and dictate tempo, which will be key for us this season. We’re grateful to Stirling Albion for their cooperation in making this move happen, and we’re excited to see Harry in Black and Gold.’

Harry was in attendance to see his new teammates earn a highly creditable draw away to Tranent on Tuesday night, and even saved the club’s Veo camera from taking a tumble in the second half! He is set to feature in Saturday’s squad as the ‘Gers travel to Albyn Park to face Broxburn Athletic, with fans getting a first chance to see him at home on Tuesday night when Berwick take on Dunipace in the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup.
