Gretna Away at the 2nd Attempt

On Saturday the 18th of January we travel South West across the A7 to play Gretna 2008 FC in a rearranged fixture with a 3pm kick off. Berwick ran out winners 2-1 in the game at Shielfield Park.

Latest reports from Gretna is the pitch is heavy but they are hoping the dry weather forecast will help in time for Saturday. We will update you if a pitch inspection is planned for tomorrow.

TEAM NEWS

Gregor Donald’s loan has ended and he has returned to Livingston. Joao Balde’s loan has also ended but he hasn’t been given a new contract by Rangers.

Manager Ian Little says the attacking midfielder is looking to play SPFL football, but is also currently considering a return to Berwick.

The squad has no injury concerns and new loan signing Hamish Thomson goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game.

TRAVEL

The Ewart Engineering Stadium is in Gretna Green on Dominion Road DG16 5AP. There is ample free parking next to the ground. Nearest train stations are Gretna Green and Carlisle, which is 10 miles further south.

Admission prices are £6 for adults with kids under 16 allowed in for free
(accompanied by an adult). Travelling Berwick supporters are welcome to visit ‘The Wee Bar’ inside the ground from 1pm and hot food is also available during the match. There is no programme but spectators can ask for a team sheet which is free of charge.
