Berwick host Vanarama National League side Gateshead tomorrow evening at the slightly earlier than usual time of 7:30pm.
Fans of both Berwick Rangers and Gateshead are invited to the Red Lion, who are offering soup and sandwiches to all fans that purchase a drink between 4-5pm tomorrow afternoon.
Berwick Rangers Team News:
Manager John Coughlin spoke to the official website on Monday evening from Midlothian, where he watched his development team go down 1-0 to Whitehill Welfare.
“We will be a little more adventurous against Gateshead. Part of pre-season is testing things out, and one of the things I’m yet to really test is whether we should operate with a strike partnership.
“We know Gateshead are a quality side who have made some big signings, but I think we’ve got to look at what we can do.
“Kevin McKinlay and Michael McKenna aren’t available. Ben Stirling and Sean Mackie picked up injuries during the North East tour, but there is good news in that Sean Mackie will return tomorrow.”
Gateshead Team News:
Having completely overhauled his squad over the summer, Heed manager Neil Aspin will be aiming to ensure his pre-season is as effective at getting his squad fit as it is gelling them together.
That being said, the away side have won both of their friendlies so far, running out 6-2 winners over Dunston UTS before beating Blyth Spartans 3-0.
Aspin has signed no less than 12 new faces thus far, with a multitude of English Football League experience arriving at the Gateshead International Stadium.
Tonight’s admission will see both adults and concessions enter at the same price. Under 16’s meanwhile will go free!
