‘Gers Bolster Defence Ahead Of St Mirren Trip

Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm that both Kieran Ainslie and Ross Graham have agreed terms on one year deals which will see them committing to ply their trade in Black & Gold during the upcoming season.

The pair, who are both defenders join Michael McKenna, Kevin Walker, Robert Wilson, Barry Hogg,

Calum Helm, Graeme Beveridge, Ewan McNeil, David Banjo, Charlie Denton, Finn Graham, Dwayne Coultress and Mark Walters in joining the ‘Gers, adding to what has proved to be a huge Summer overhaul at Shielfield Park.

Ainslie becomes Berwick’s third ‘local lad’ to sign terms for the coming season, and the steely centre-half will be looking to form a partnership with fellow local and club captain Jonny Fairbairn during the coming season.

The 26 year old becomes the club’s second summer signing from Coldstream, as he links up with his former teammate Mark Walters once more.

And Ainslie isn’t the only one arriving with previous ties as former Montrose left back Ross Graham joins from Montrose, linking up with his brother Finn, who joined from Dunfermline earlier in the window.

Graham joined the Gable Endies from Dundonald Bluebell in July 2014 following spells with Kelty Hearts, Ballingry Juniors and Dunfermline Athletic, and went on to make a total of 28 appearances for the League Two side last season.

While primarily a full back, the 24 year old can also operate in the centre of defence and left midfield but will no doubt be looking to break into the first team in his preffered position out on the left.

The club would like to extend both Ross & Kieran a warm welcome to the club.
