‘Gers Announce North East Pre-Season Mini-Tour!
Berwick Rangers will face Northern League opposition on at least two occasions as part of John Coughlin’s preparations for the 2016-2017 season.
Consett AFC, currently mid-table in the EBAC Northern League, will host the Borderers on Saturday July 2nd at their Belle Vue Stadium.
The Berwick squad will stay in the north-east overnight and on Sunday 3rd July will travel the short distance to Ryton and Crawcrook Albion FC, between Blaydon and Prudhoe. Ryton and Crawcrook are a mid-table Northern League Two side.
Both games kick-off at 2.00 pm, and are likely to give the Berwick squad a useful test in the run-up to the new SPFL season, which begins slightly earlier than usual with the introduction of a sectional League Cup competition on July 16th.
It’s hoped that Shielfield Park will host a home friendly on Saturday 9th July, which will be announced when confirmed.
