Berwick Rangers’ scheduled friendly with Gateshead on Tuesday 12th July at Shielfield Park has now been brought forward following discussions between the two sides.

Originally scheduled for a 7:45pm kick-off, the match will now get underway 15 minutes earlier with the referee getting things underway at 7:30pm.

‘The Heed’ finished 9th last season under the management of Gateshead-born Neil Aspin and will visit Shielfield Park on Tuesday 12th July.

Aspin, who took charge in November 2015, has used the Summer transfer window to heavily strengthen his squad and ‘Gers boss John Coughlin expects a good test.

Berwick Rangers kick off their pre-season with a weekend tour of the North East of England from July 2nd, when they’ll play Consett AFC before heading to Ryton & Crawcrook Albion the following day.

Prices for home friendlies will be announced in the coming weeks.
