Five Star Notman scoops awards
It may have been a season to forget for the ‘Gers but following a disappointing final home game of the season which saw Berwick run out 3-0 losers against an East Fife they’d thumped only a month previous, loyal Berwick fans packed into the Sponsors Lounge for this season’s Player of the Year awards.
It would be Steven Notman that earned most of the plaudits, his tireless efforts earning him the admiration of his peers as he’d win Player’s Player of the Year.
Stevie’s efforts also won the votes of fan groups, with both Berwick Rangers Supporters Club and Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust presenting their awards to the steely midfielder.
Elsewhere, he’s also pick up the Directors’ Player of the Year and Tweeddale Press Player of the Year Awards.
South African Devon Jacobs would pick up one gong, the Borders Supporters Club recognising his efforts from right back this season.
The remaining two awards would go to versatile midfielder Paul Willis, who picked up the Social Media Player of the Year as well as the Steven Mitchell Memorial Award.
And finally, whilst the presenation wasn’t made post-game, Euan Bauld was named this season’s Young Player of the Year after his progression from the Development League to first-team.
