Finnie pens new two-year deal

Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm that defender Ryan Finnie has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal which will see him remain at Shielfield Park until at least Summer 2023.

Finnie, who completed the season in SPFL League Two having agreed a loan deal with Cowdenbeath following the early halt of the early culmination of the 20/21 Lowland League, was a mainstay in the ‘Gers starting line-up last season.

Equally adept playing in central defence as he is at right back, Ryan was sought after by a number of SPFL sides but agreed to renew terms with the Dream Team having enjoyed his time at the club last season.

The defender, who is sponsored by the ‘From the Grove to the Harrow’ Fanzine – the independent magazine of the Dream Team, will now be looking to lock down his place in the ‘Gers defence and help the club to find improvement on the park next season.

Ryan may now feature in the club’s first friendly of 21/22, set to take place on the evening of Friday 25th June. Tickets for the fixture are set to be made available via the club’s digital ticketing partner Fanbase, and fans are advised to sign-up now to avoid disappointment.

Hospitality places for the match, priced at £30pp, are still available can be booked through vice-chairman Craig Forsyth on craig@berwickrangers.com.

Finally, you can help boost manager Stuart Malcolm’s playing budget by purchasing your tickets to June’s Transfer Draw, set to take place this Friday (11th June).

After transaction fees are deducted, 50% of all funds raised will go straight into the budget – with the other half scooped by the draw winner!
