Central defenders Kerr Young and Jonny Fairbairn have signed new contracts with the ‘Gers and will remain at the club until the end of the 2015/16 season.

The pair signed on at training last night and were ever-presents in the run that saw the team record six clean sheets in seven matches over the Christmas period and into 2015.

Young, 21, was an early season signing for the ‘Gers after being released by Dunfermline in pre-season and since making his bow at Annan Athletic on Septermber 13, had started the following 20 games until Saturday’s trip to Galabank where he missed out through suspension.

Fairbairn, 25, broke through from the reserves in early 2014 and has been utilised heavily by Colin Cameron since he took charge. This season, he has made 20 appearances in all competitions and scored twice.
