End of Season Statement from the Manager, Colin Cameron.

Firstly, I’d like to apologise to the Chairman, Board of Directors and the fans for a disappointing league campaign. I did say at the start of the season that the least I was hoping for was a play-off spot. Unfortunately we did not achieve this and I do see this as a failure on my behalf.

I am not one for making excuses and over the season there have been times where things haven’t went our way. The truth is that we have found ourselves in some good positions but didn’t have the mental capacity to see games out. Myself, Robbie and Jason have identified the areas where we need to improve the squad so that next season we will be equipped with the right players to see out games.

As a player I’ve had to deal with disappointment, this drives me on and makes me more determined to make up for that and work even harder. I am hoping to make next season a successful one and that is no different now that I am a Manager. I will aim to work extremely hard over the close season to bring in players to improve the club and take us forward.

On another note I would like to thank Robbie Horn for all his hard work at the club. I have had the pleasure of working with him for the last 18 months to which he always gave us 100%, not only as the assistant manager but also his time here as a player. I would like to wish him and his family all the best for the future.

With the departure of Robbie I have had no hesitation in offering the assistant manager job to Jason Dair, who for the last year has been working with Robbie and myself.

I have known Jason for over 20 years both as a player and a coach, and I know he will bring many different ideas to help us achieve success in the coming season.

Finally I would ask our fans to remain as loyal as you have been this season and get behind the team next season and hopefully between us we will bring success to Berwick Rangers Football Club.
