Berwick manager Colin Cameron has agreed to put pen to paper on a new contract which will see him remain at the club until summer 2016. He is expected to officially do so later this week.

The 42-year-old, who has been at the club just over a year following the sacking of Ian Little in January 2014, steered the club to 5th place last season while he also picked up the Manager of the Month award in his first month at the helm.

This season, inconsistency on the ‘Gers part has allowed the top three to open a significant gap at the summit, while a 4-2 defeat at Annan Athletic on Saturday meant they leapfrogged Berwick into the final play-off spot.

Cameron has seen his side in cracking form in the Scottish Cup though, with a tie against Spartans on February 7 standing between the ‘Gers and a place in the quarter-finals.
