Following Berwick’s 2-0 victory over Jim Chapman’s Annan Athletic on Saturday afternoon, manager John Coughlin called upon fans to return to Shielfield Park and back the lads on to more positive results.
Coughlin, who will field questions from the fans on Friday evening in the club’s JB Lounge (7pm for a 7:30pm start) spoke to club legend Eric Tait for BRFC TV following the win, and admitted he was a little disappointed with the crowd for an opening league game.
“I looked around the crowd today and I’m thinking ‘you know, we could do with a few more people in here supporting us’, but I suppose the only way to do that is to get results.
“Today we managed to do that, it’s very pleasing, and it’s another clean sheet – we had a lot of them towards the end of last season.”
Coughlin also discusses Michael McKenna’s performance, reveals Jordyn Sheerin was playing through an injury, Jonny Fairbairn’s red card and more.
