The club are pleased to present highlights of the ‘Gers 1-1 #BetfredCup draw with Clyde over the weekend, courtesy of Clyde TV.

Berwick would suffer defeat via a penalty shoot-out for the second game in succession. Peter MacDonald gave the home side the lead, netting from an acute angle past Sean Brennan, who was making his ‘Gers senior debut.

Jordyn Sheerin, who was named the sponsor’s Man of the Match, gave Berwick a lifeline with his first ever goal for the club, a superb solo-run culminating in a well-struck finish into the bottom corner.

Clyde may have won the tie in normal time, having two goals disallowed, the first for offside and the second a foul.  ‘Keeper Brennan also pulled off a wonder-save to keep the scores level.

The first 11 penalty takers would all net, but Graeme Beveridge found his effort saved by John Gibson to hand Clyde the bonus-point.
