Battling and deserved win at Central Park

Saturday 27 January 2018: Ladbrokes League 2 Cowdenbeath 1 Berwick Rangers 3 (HT 1-1)

In tricky overhead conditions which included a difficult wind, Berwick produced a professional performance to earn their third win of the season over Cowdenbeath, the second at Central Park.

And there were goals from recent captures Jack Hamilton and Ouzy See and a ‘goal of the season’ contender from Steven Thomson!

Hamilton was on hand in the box to head Berwick in front after 19 minutes but in first half stoppage time Cowden’s Harvey Swann netted a penalty after a foul in the box.

However, Steven Thomson, with a blistering 30 yard plus strike on the hour put Berwick in front again and Ouzy See (pic) headed home the third 8 minutes from time for a well deserved three points.

Berwick now host second top Peterhead this Tuesday (30 Jan KO 7.45pm)
