Barry Hogg joins Dunbar United on loan
Berwick Rangers can confirm that young midfielder Barry Hogg has joined Dunbar United in a loan deal which will see him ply his trade from New Countess Park until the end of the season.
Hogg joined the ‘Gers in Summer 2015 after impressing in Tynecastle’s U19s title winning squad, and it didn’t take long before he’d made his senior debut for Berwick, his first start coming in at Clyde earlier in the season under Colin Cameron.
And in order to pick up further experience of senior football, John Coughlin has sent the 18 year-old out on loan to help him build further experience of senior football.
On the move, Dunbar United manager Geoff Jones said: “We are delighted to welcome Barry to the club. He’s young but very talented with bags of potential and I know John Coughlin sees him as a player for the future – a loan deal could be a win win for everyone.
“We were offered first option on him which I greatly appreciate and it goes to show how building relationships with other clubs in the higher leagues can be of real benefit.”
