Allan departs

Goalkeeper Stuart Allan has today left the club via mutual consent as the youngster looks to focus on his education.

The longest serving member of the Development/Reserve squad, Allan signed for Berwick in July 2016 after having played several games as a Trialist in the previous season from Dunbar United Colts.

During his time with the ‘Gers Allan spent time on loan at Crossgates Primrose and Tweedmouth Rangers. Allan also featured in the first team squad on numerous occasions.

Reserves Head Coach Derek McKenzie commented: “whilst I’m disappointed with Stuart’s decision I completely understand his reasoning as education should always come first. Myself and the other coaches would like to put on record our thanks to him for his commitment, effort and professionalism over the past 2 and a half years which have been second to none. I wish him all the best and hope to see him and his family at a game at Shielfield in the near future.”

The club would like to thank Stuart for his efforts and wish him well for the future.
