It’s a quick turnaround for our fans this week as we return to Shielfield Park on Saturday for a League Two fixture against 4th placed Stenhousemuir.
This is the second home game in a sequence of four in the coming weeks as we look to get back to winning ways.
The 0-1 reverse against Stirling Albion on Tuesday has left Robbie Horn and his team now 9th in the league and looking for a change in fortune as we approach the business end of the season.
The ‘Gers will host Brown Ferguson and his men twice in a short space of time, as the Warriors return for a re-arranged league game on Tuesday 3rd April.
Robbie Horn will be planning for better results at Shielfield than the previous two encounters against the same opposition this season, with the Warriors triumphing 3-0 and 4-0 at Ochilview Park in 2017/18.
Berwick News
Darren Lavery will be unavailable again but Horn is hoping to have Declan O’Kane back, having missed the game in midweek. Aaron Murrell returned from injury in that game and is expected to be in the squad again on Saturday.
The feeling amongst the squad is that if they keep performing as they have (more shots at goal again in midweek) then their luck is bound to change sooner rather than later.
Stenhousemuir News
Stenny arrive 4th in the table and looking to secure a play-off position come the end of the season. Recent results have been inconsistent, with three defeats in the last five, but they did return to winning ways with a terrific 1-2 victory at table-topping Peterhead in midweek.
Brown Ferguson will therefore be arriving full of confidence as will leading scorer Mark McGuigan, who netted again in that victory. McGuigan has 19 league goals for the season and is the Warriors biggest danger man.
Ross Gilmour has recently left the club by mutual consent to go and work in Australia.
