Interview with Ouzy See
Ousman See made his debut for the club today, playing 81 minutes after his move south from Forfar Athletic yesterday. After the game the official website caught up with the striker to discuss the move.
The 23-year-old, like manager Robbie Horn, was glad to get the move finalised: “I’m happy that the deal has gone through. I can get more game time, get fit and then hopefully get back to scoring goals very soon.”
Knowing he was wanted by Robbie Horn played a big role in See moving across the border to Berwick: “I chose Berwick because they’re a big club. I’ve heard good things about them and Robbie seemed really interested, really keen to sign me so that was a big factor in moving here.”
Looking ahead to the rest of the season, See is looking up rather than down: “I want to help Berwick climb the table obviously and hopefully my goals can do that. First and foremost I need to make sure I stay in the team by working hard and fighting for my place.”
When asked about any personal targets for the season, Ouzy explained he prefers to think one game at a time: “I don’t have a target that I want to hit, I just want to score as many as I can and take every game as it comes.”
Lastly a question from social media asked See about his strengths. The striker feels speed is an area in which he can cause defenders problems: “I’d like to think pace is one of them. Maybe heading as well but I like to think my pace is pretty good so I’ll go with that.”
