Vital point at Broadwood

Berwick picked up a vital point in a tense game on Saturday (29th April) against Clyde at Broadwood, Cumbernauld.

It now means that the Ladbokes League 2 situations, top and bottom, go down to the wire next Saturday, 6th. May. Berwick know their league destiny is in their own hands when Edinburgh City visit. A single point or a win will guarantee league status. Clyde (same points but one goal better off) travel to play off chasing Montrose while Cowdenbeath, three points behind go to Elgin.

Ar Broadwood a David Gormley penalty after 33 minutes put the hosts ahead but Jonny Fairbairn (pictured) netted a deserved equaliser after 55 minutes and with time running out Aaron Murrell could have won it for us, his effort striking the woodwork.
