Christmas Message from Chairman, Len Eyre
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the supporters of Berwick Rangers a Merry Christmas and a prosperous and Happy New Year.
Our season so far has not turned out as expected. Mainly down to a series of injuries and our shocking disciplinary record.
We have all to keep positive as John Coughlin and the coaching staff are trying their best to turn things around. The last thing anyone wants at Berwick Rangers is to go into the dreaded relegation play off place.
The next two games away to Annan and at home to Edinburgh City are especially crucial for the Club, but of course so are all others.
We need a couple of good results then we can move on into the latter part of the season with more confidence.
It would be good for the players and management staff to see all Supporters turn out and give support to the team at the Edinburgh City game. No doubt they will be bringing down a good following, the way they have turned their season around.
I would also like to congratulate Berwick Rangers Under 20 Team on their position at the top of the Development League East which is great, especially as the majority of their games have being played away from home. I would take this opportunity to thank all the unpaid coaching staff and helpers who make it happen.
The Football Club needs its Sponsors so I would like to thank the Clubs Main Sponsor Simple Energy and all the shirt and short sponsors, all the Advertising Sponsors who contribute the boards around the Park, advertise in the programmes, Bond Members, Weekly Scheme Members, Corporate Season Ticket Holders, Season Ticket Holders and most important all you fans who attend Shielfield every home match.
Also thanks to John Coughlin, Coaches and his Playing staff, Admin staff, Ground staff, Stewards and all the many volunteers who make it happen on match days.
Let us all move forward into the New Year and hope that John, his coaches and the team can turn things around.
Once again Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all Supporters and everyone connected with Berwick Rangers Football Club.
Best wishes,
Len
