SPFL Development League Fixtures Confirmed

The SPFL have today confirmed the fixture list for this season’s SPFL Development League East region.

Berwick will kick off their season away to Livingston during the week beginning Monday 5th September, and will feature from Shielfield for the first time in the following week against current champions, Stirling Albion. Berwick will also end the season at home in a clash with Raith Rovers in the week of Monday 27th March.

The Development League East for 2016/17 is made up of seven clubs playing three times for a total of 18 matches each.

Seven teams have entered side into the league for the new season. The competing clubs are as follows:

  • Alloa Athletic
  • Berwick Rangers
  • Cowdenbeath
  • Forfar Athletic
  • Livingston
  • Raith Rovers
  • Stirling Albion

The club recently confirmed a major overhaul of its Development Team structure, and will be hoping the changes can lead to more players coming through the youth system into the first-team in the coming season.
