Michael McKenna Pens New ‘Gers Deal

Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm that midfielder Michael McKenna has agreed to extend his Shielfield Park stay until the end of the 2016/2017 campaign.

McKenna has demonstrated his versatility throughout the current campaign, operating on both the left and in the centre of midfield as well as being deployed as a forward.

After making 35 appearances so far for the ‘Gers this season, and netting his third goal for the club in the final minute of the weekend’s clash with Arbroath – his first away goal for the Dream Team, manager John Coughlin has moved to make Michael the first member of his senior squad to re-sign for the coming year.

And the former Livingston man will now be looking to build on his first league season of regular football at a senior level to help the ‘Gers form a promotion push in the new campaign.

The 25 year-old becomes the fourth player to commit to the ‘Gers’ next season, following the young trio of Euan Bauld, Calum Helm and Barry Hogg signing deals with the club last week.
