Notman wins Social Media Man of the Match Award
Versatile midfielder Steven Notman has won the Social Media Man of the Match Award in the weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Stirling Albion with 36% of the voting.
Stevie put in a typically tenacious shift in the middle of the park, ensuring that Stirling found it difficult to break Berwick down throughout the game.
With new boss John Coughlin watching on from the stands, a manager the 29 year old midfielder is familiar with from his first spell with the ‘Gers, Steven will no doubt he happy to have put in a decent shift and picked up where he left off with the man that helped him to his only league winners medal.
Blair Henderson and Finn Graham finished joint runners-up with 27% each, Henderson posing a regular threat to the opposition defence, hitting the post and having a goal disallowed for offside, whilst Graham impressed with a dynamic shift in the centre.
Rounding off the voting is Ewan McNeil who picked up 10%, perhaps owing to a screamer of a free-kick from over 30 yards out, the full back driving home a second stunner of the season.
The Social Media Man of the Match award is voted for by fans following each match with votes registered via Twitter (@OfficialBRFC), Facebook (/BerwickRangers) and the official app, available on Android & iOS. At the end of the season a tally is taken and the player with the most weekly awards is crowned the Social Media Player of the Year.
