Match Preview: Stirling Albion v Berwick Rangers – Ladbrokes League Two
Berwick travel to Stirling tomorrow looking to bounce back from disappointment at Bayview last weekend, knowing they’ll have to be much improved to take anything against another promotion favourite.
Berwick Team News:
Summer signing Mark Walters is set to start his first game in senior football at the age of 29, with Kevin Walker suspended after being adjudged to have handled outside the area during last weekend’s defeat.
Ross Drummond will miss out once more as he continues to recover from an ankle injection, but is set to rejoin training from Tuesday evening.
Euan Bauld’s back problem has continued to keep him out of action, with club therapist Jenna Orr explaining: “We’re currently waiting on the result from an MRI scan Euan had last week. We’re expecting them imminently so hopefully we’ll know the full extent of the issue soon.”
Orr continues to reveal that Steven Notman will once again miss out, but reports: “Stevie has returned to light training this week well ahead of schedule. He’s been made fantastic progress to get to this stage so soon. Calum (Helm) is also progressing well given the seriousness of his injury.”
The likelihood is that player-boss Colin Cameron won’t leave the goalkeeping spot the only change he makes after a poor performance from the team last weekend.
Stirling Albion Team News:
The ‘Gers aren’t the only ones suffering from early disciplinary problems, with left back Kevin McKinlay suspended after seeing red for the Binos last weekend in Annan.
Darren Smith also misses out for the home side through injury.
However Albion have a strong squad after recruiting well over the Summer and Stuart McLaren’s men will be no doubt still be looking to take three points off Berwick.

Match Odds:
SPFL sponsors Ladbrokes see the home side as favourites and perhaps understandably so when pairing the nature of the ‘Gers defeat last weekend with the fact the last five games at Forthbank have been won by the Binos – though that of course means there’s more money to be won for those who back the Dream Team!
Stirling Albion – 4/5
Draw – 13/5
Berwick Rangers – 14/5
Match Officials:
David Lowe will take charge of an often fiery fixture, and will be relying on his assistants Alisdair Ross & Greg Soutar.
