Three new Associate Directors join board
The club are delighted to announce that Keith Hall, Robert Hay and Ron Kirk have joined the board as Associate Directors.
Keith, Bob and Ron are among the most committed and loyal of ‘Gers fans, following the team home and away, and now step into their new roles to help the club off the pitch.
Speaking about their appointments, both Keith and Robert stressed that their passion for the club runs deep. ‘It is a real honour to take on this role at Berwick Rangers,’ said Robert. ‘This club is a huge part of my life – I’ve followed them home and away for 41 years – so this means a lot to me.’ Keith added, ‘Similar to Robert, I’ve followed Berwick home and away for most of my life (36 years), and now I feel it is the time to give something back to this great club.’
The three new Associate Directors will all bring new skills to the Board, as well as their passion for the club and a fan’s perspective. For instance, Ron’s experience as solicitor for Scottish Borders Council will prove invaluable to the club. Keith said, ‘I am a business owner (Cheeklaw Garage, Duns) and also the Watch Commander for Duns’ Fire and Rescue Service, with 29 years’ experience in this role. I hope to use the skills learned in both of these positions to benefit the club.’
Berwick Rangers Chairman Kevin Dixon was thrilled to add Keith, Robert and Ron as Associate Directors. ‘I am really happy that all three of our new Associate Directors accepted my offer to come on board. They already represent the club so well both home and away with their commitment, and they will strengthen the work that our existing Board Members are doing to strengthen Berwick Rangers both on and off the pitch.’
With their roles confirmed by the Scottish FA earlier this week, Keith, Robert and Ron have been co-opted onto the board officially and can begin their work immediately.
