🎉 | Welcome Callum Pitt!

Berwick Rangers are pleased to announce the signing of Callum Pitt, most recently of Edinburgh City.

21 year-old Callum plays predominantly at right back, and was part of the Citizens’ squad which made the SPFL League One playoffs last year. Callum was previously at Kelty Hearts U20s and East Fife U20s, and his experience at those clubs means he already knows new teammates Cai McNamara Struan Mair and Liam Campbell. As a youth, Callum was at Heart of Midlothian and The Spartans.

Berwick manager Kevin Haynes was full of praise for his new signing, saying, “We’re delighted to bring Callum Pitt to Shielfield Park. He’s a very dynamic right back—he’s got great energy up and down the flank, and he’s comfortable both defending and joining the attack. He reads the game well and isn’t afraid to put in a tackle.

He’s also got a terrific attitude. From the first conversation, it was clear he’s hungry to kick on and test himself in the Black & Gold. He’s still young, so there’s plenty of development ahead, but we believe he’s got the attributes to make a real impact here.

Supporters will see straight away that Callum is fully committed every time he pulls on the shirt, and I’m confident he’ll become an important part of the group as we push on this season.”

Some Berwick supporters got a sneak peek at our new right-back at the Open Training session at Shielfield Park last weekend, and Callum is due to make his debut for the ‘Gers in Saturday’s preseason opener against Hibernian Development XI at MKM Shielfield Park. Kick off is at 3pm, with tickets priced at £10 for adults, £5 concession, and u16s going free.
