Kyle Somers Joins

Berwick Rangers are pleased to announce the signing of exciting attacking midfielder Kyle Somers. Kyle joins from Dunbar United for an undisclosed fee, pending Scottish FA registration.

The 21 year old has spent the last two seasons at the Seasiders, joining the New Countess Park side from Preston Athletic in July 2023. He now becomes the first signing for new Berwick manager Kevin Haynes – who also signed Kyle for Dunbar.

Speaking about the capture of Kyle, Haynes said ‘He is a player blessed with technical ability and creativity. Kyle has a good range of passing, and scores goals from midfield. He is at an age where he can hopefully continue to develop, and I’m sure that Berwick fans will enjoy watching Kyle flourish in the black and gold.’

Kyle Somers should be available to feature in the first competitive fixture for new manager Haynes, away to Linlithgow Rose on Saturday 25 January. The next ‘Gers home match is the following Saturday, 1st February, against East Stirlingshire. Kit sponsorship for Kyle will be available on the club webstore shortly.
