League Two Play-Off Second Leg – Berwick Rangers v Cove Rangers
The ‘Gers play one of the most important games in their history on Saturday as we welcome Cove Rangers to Shielfield Park for the second leg of the promotion/relegation play-off in the 2018/2019 campaign.
Cove have the advantage having triumphed 4-0 in their home leg last weekend. Goals from Sam Burnett, Mitch Megginson, Jamie Masson and Jordon Brown gave the Highland League champions a comfortable victory last Saturday. It is hoped Jordan Orru and Robert Wilson will have recovered from injuries picked up in the game.
The crowd was just under 2,000 last Saturday and another bumper crowd is expected this weekend.
Officials
John McKendrick will be the referee on Saturday. Daniel McFarlane and John McCrossan will be running the lines.
Admission
Season tickets will be valid for this match and normal admission prices of £12 Adults and £8 concession will apply. This is a huge and potentially history defining game on Saturday and we urge any supporter who cares about Berwick to please come and support the lads. We’ve seen in football in recent weeks that comebacks are possible and we will need your full support if there is any chance of another one on Saturday.
The Club can confirm the arrangement (as in recent SPFL2 home games) that Under 16’s are admitted free of charge on 18 May via Season Ticket gate (Turnstile B).
Any disabled fans and carers will also be admitted free of charge as per club policies, advance notice is required by contacting Berwick Rangers FC on club@berwickrangers.com . A special area within turnstiles will be reserved if required and disabled toilets will be situated near this section.
All supporters for stand/terrace should enter via ‘Turnstiles B’ as directed by match day stewards. Gates due to open 1.45pm on Saturday. away fans will be situated in the north of the main stand Sectionsn H & I.
Supporters travelling to Berwick by car should be aware that there is a motorcycle rally/ event being held in the main car park that may reduce car parking by about 75%. Supporters are advised to arrive early or alternatively park on the nearby industrial estate and walk through the cut at the old railway end to the ground.
All supporters will be welcome in the Red Lion pub before and after the game for refreshments and food.
