1967 50th Anniversary Dinner now sold out!
The club are pleased to confirm that this Friday’s dinner celebrating the 50th anniversary of club’s most famous result, a 1-0 Scottish Cup victory over Rangers, has officially sold out.
Last Wednesday, it was confirmed that local former Scotland international and TV pundit Pat Nevin will attend as a guest speaker on the night, whilst on Friday ’67 captain Doug Coutts confirmed his attendance..
Nevin and Coutts will join ’67 legends Gordon Haig, Ian Riddell, Russell Craig, Alan Ainslie (who will fly in from Australia), Andy Rodgers, John Keith and the family of the late Jim Kilgannon in attending the evening, which takes place at the Black & Gold social club.
Also in attendance will be Dave Smith and Willie Johnston, two Rangers players who featured on the day and will be able to provide a completely different perspective on the day’s events.
And the star-studded event will be boosted by the attendance of Eric Tait and many of his 1978/79 teammates after a successful appeal for a get-together from the BRFC TV host.
Fans attending are reminded to arrive from 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
Those disappointed to have missed out can stay tuned for the news of a Burns Dinner later on today, and the club’s 2nd annual ‘Legends Dinner’ in the Summer, in which 4 more ‘Gers legends will be inducted to the club’s Hall of Fame.
