✅ Game on as Shielfield passes pitch inspection

For the first time there will be a clear pathway through to the first-team for locals.

Today’s SPFL Ladbrokes League Two match with Elgin City will go ahead as scheduled after the Shielfield Park surface passed a pitch inspection at 10.30am this morning.

There had been concern about a wing area of the park which remained soft after rain through the early morning, but groundstaff moved to cover the pitch to protect the area and give the match the best possible chance of going ahead.

Match referee Colin Steven deemed the surface fine to play on and so the ‘Gers will host 3rd placed City at 3pm this afternoon.

Admission is as standard, £12 adults and £7 concessions. Under 16’s can collect a free season voucher from the club’s main office prior to kick off.
