Berwick Rangers travelled to Forfar at the weekend as they went head to head with Dick Campbell’s side in friendly action.

The ‘Gers would conceed twice in the first-half and fail to recover as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at Station Park, in a game which also saw captain Jonny Fairbairn subbed with a head injury.

A Berwick Rangers XI also travelled to Gala Fairydean Rovers, but were beaten 5-1 on the day.

The friendly was the last non-competitive action for the ‘Gers who begin their season with a Petrofac Training Cup Round One clash against the recently relegated St Mirren.

Places for the Travel Club’s bus to St Mirren Park (leaving 10am from Shielfield Park) are still available and are priced at just £10 per person.

These can be booked by calling George on 07764 189983 or Ali on 07969 808732. Pickups en-route can also be arranged.
