Captain Fairbairn Surprises ‘Gers Summer Camp Kids

Children participating in the Berwick Rangers Summer Camp with Matty Moor Football Coach were given a surprise at Old Shielfield yesterday when club captain Jonny Fairbairn popped down to participate in a session.

The Milfield based centre-half knows exactly what it takes to rise through the ranks and play for his local team, and was delighted to come along and share some tips with the next generation.

The young players were ecstatic to see Jonny – an experience which has no doubt added to what has been a fantastic Summer Camp thus far.

In fact, the ball-playing centre half wasn’t afraid to show the kids how it was done either, shaking off the added pressure of the camera to net with this fine strike (below), although the assist will surely go to the youngster demanding he had a strike throughout the video!

Coach Matty Moor was delighted to welcome Jonny and continue to create a great learning environment for all taking part.

The Summer Camp is currently in its second of three weeks, and the club are delighted to confirm that we will be bringing highlights of the whole Camp to you via the official website later next week!
