In truth, it could have gone to any of those voted with some fantastic individual performances among a great team fight back, however Banjo’s towering header and destructive tackling performance clearly caught the eye of ‘Gers fans.

Finn Graham and Michael McKenna came closest to taking the award, with Banjo’s central midfield partner Graham impressing in a tireless and energetic midfield performance littered with a fantastic range of passing. Finn’s efforts saw him earn 18.5% of the voting.

McKenna meanwhile continued his impressive start to the season by picking up another 18.5% of votes, his direct running causing the Alloa defence no end of problems throughout the game.

It is testament to the way in which David Morris changed the game that he picked up 9% of the voting, his header making things level in the second half.

Ewan McNeil also picked up 9% of votes, his two assists, including a sensational pinpoint cross for David Morris’ goal, proving key in the ‘Gers fightback.

The remaining 9% of the voting went to Robert Wilson, the former Airdrie centre half helping the ‘Gers defence to recover well and build a platform for a comeback after a disappointing first-half.
