Berwick Rangers Community Foundation is excited to reveal that it will bring the first FA Wildcats Centre to Berwick-upon-Tweed after their fully FA-qualified FA coaching team completed the ‘Weetabix Wildcats’ training course.
Providing non-competitive football for girls who want to give it a go for the very first time or who simply want to play with other girls their own age, Weetabix Wildcats programmes put fun at their core with the focus on creating new friendships for the youths involved.
On the successful launch of the Wildcats’ Head of Girls and Women’s teams Andy Thorpe said:
“We, The Berwick Rangers Girls Programme Team, are delighted to announce that we will be bringing the first FA Wildcats Centre to Berwick upon Tweed. This is a National programme to encourage girls from 5-11 to “Have Fun”, “Make Friends” and “Play Football”. It has been a challenge to get accreditation to host an FA Wildcats Centre but we are looking forward to Berwick Rangers FC Community Foundation giving girls in North Northumberland and the Borders the chance to experience the “Beautiful Game”.
We are also going to be offering girls 12+ the chance to train with our fully qualified FA & SFA coaches. We look forward to welcoming you to our brand new 3G facility at the Swan Centre on Thursday May 6th”
The Berwick Rangers Girls Programme is launching a weekly FA Wildcats session for girls aged 5-11.
Have fun, make friends and play football!
The sessions will provide an environment where girls can learn to enjoy and love the “Beautiful Game”. The sessions will be run by our fully qualified FA coaches with the emphasis on the girls all round development, designed with the following statements at their core:
To Have Fun, To Make Friends and To Play Football.
