See Injury Update

The club can tonight confirm that striker Ousman See suffered a broken leg during this afternoon’s game vs Montrose.

Play was stopped for over an hour as the seriousness of the injury required an ambulance, which travelled to Links Park from Dundee. During this time See was looked after by Berwick physio Steph Wells, the Montrose physio and the Montrose medical staff. Upon the arrival of paramedics, See was given gas & air and morphine to help ease the pain as he was transported off the pitch and taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Since arriving at hospital the injury has been confirmed as a broken Tibia and dislocated ankle. See will remain in hospital overnight and be assessed in the morning to learn if surgery is required. Until the full extent of the injury is known there is no timescale for See’s recovery.

Everyone at the club would like to thank Steph, the Montrose physio and all other medical staff for their efforts this afternoon whilst waiting for the paramedics to arrive, as well as all clubs and supporters who have sent messages of support to Ouzy. A further update will be provided when more information is available.
