Scott joins on loan

Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm the arrival of Cedwyn Scott on loan from Premiership side Dundee.

The 19-year-old striker joined Dundee in January after spending four years in the youth academy at English Premiership club Huddersfield Town. During his time with Hudderfield’s Under 18s, Scott netted 21 times in 26 games before moving North to Dundee. The youngster continued his fine form for the Dee, scoring nine goals in nine games for their development side during the second half of 2017/18.

Manager Robbie Horn is happy to have boosted his attacking options: “I am absolutely delighted to get Cedwyn on board. He has shown real commitment by agreeing to come to the club and I’m really looking forward to working with him. He’s highly thought of by Dundee and has many attributes but most importantly for us he can score goals. Thanks to everyone at Dundee for getting this deal tonight especially when they’ve got so many others deals on the go too.”

Scott is expected to go straight into the squad as the ‘Gers travel to Cliftonhill tomorrow to face Albion Rovers.
