Match Preview – Berwick Rangers v Stenhousemuir FC – Ladbrokes League Two

Robbie Horn and the boys return to Shielfield Park tomorrow night, weather permitting, for the many time re-arranged clash with Stenhousemuir, kicking off at 7.45pm.

The ‘Gers will be looking to bounce back from the home defeat to Peterhead on Saturday and gain the victory that would surely confirm their league two status for next season.

Strangely, considering we are into April, this is the first home league game between the sides in Berwick this season. The game has been moved, due to weather, on three occasions and there will be another game between the sides at the same venue next Tuesday also!

Stenhousemuir have won both games at Ochilview Park comfortably this season, with an aggregate total of 7-0 to the Warriors.

Berwick News

Robbie will be hoping that everyone has recovered quickly from the weekend and is ready to go again. Robbie mentioned that the squad “need to stick together” until the end of the season to get the results that are required, especially with Cowdenbeath getting a victory at the weekend.

Gary Phillips, Oliver Fleming and Ouzy See all came off the bench on the weekend and will be looking to get back into the starting 11. Ouzy See set up the goal for young Jack Hamilton in the game against Peterhead.

Stenhousemuir News

Brown Ferguson and his side will be buoyed by a comprehensive 1-4 away win at Edinburgh City on Saturday. The result ends a recent dip in form and The Warriors are now back in the play-off positions as they look to end the season with promotion.

The biggest story from the weekend is that debutant Andrew Dallas, who joined on loan from Rangers u20’s last Friday, scored a brace in a very encouraging first outing for Stenhousemuir.

Mark McGuigan didn’t feature at the weekend. McGuigan has 20 league goals for the campaign thus far.
