Berwick Rangers host league leaders Montrose at Shielfield Park this Saturday, with the game kicking off at 3pm.
Stewart Petrie brings his table topping side to town with them having a five point lead a the top of Ladbrokes League Two.
This game, due to rearranged matches, marks the run of three home games in a row for Robbie Horn and his side. Horn and the players will be hoping for a change of fortune in the coming games, having been on a receiving end of some questionable penalty decisions in recent league encounters against Peterhead and Clyde.
The Gable Endies are currently on three wins from their last five and will be looking for maximum points, having drawn 2-2 away at Elgin City last time out. Stewart Petrie knows that the title race is likely to go to the wire with second place Peterhead currently having a game in hand.
Berwick Team News
Robbie Horn should have some selection choices to make this weekend as Jamie Todd continues to settle to life in League Two. Recent signings Alex Petkov and young striker Jack Hamilton are pushing for recalls having sat out the away draw at Peterhead.
Kevin McKinlay will once again be missing with injury. Ewan Herriot has left the club since the last outing and long serving defender Jonny Fairbairn has joined Tranent Juniors on a short term loan deal.
Berwick will be looking for their first victory in five league games.
Montrose Team News
Stewart Petrie will be looking for consistency from his side as they look to clinch the league title. Petrie will be hoping for a third consecutive victory against the ‘Gers in 2017/18 and also a third consecutive clean sheet. Montrose won 0-1 at Shielfield earlier this season and 3-0 at home in December.
This title push has been built on solid foundations and the leading scorer for Montrose is Chris Templeman with only 6 league goals this season. 23 year old striker and recent signing, Martin Rennie, is expected to get more minutes in the coming weeks.
Two members of the Gable Endies squad recently reached impressive milestones for the club with Terry Masson and Gary Fraser celebrating their 250th and 100th appearances for the club respectively.
