The ‘Gers host James McDonaugh and his title chasing Edinburgh City side at Shielfield Park at 3pm on Saturday.
This LadbrokesLeague Two encounter has increased significance at the bottom and top of League Two after results in recent weeks.
Johnny and the boys will be looking for a similar result to when top placed Peterhead visited Berwick last week. However, the points are more needed now than ever with relegation rival Albion Rovers putting three consecutive victories together to leapfrog the ‘Gers into 9th place.
This is the first time this season that Berwick will be starting a game at the foot of the table and Johnny will be demanding a response from the lads.
The brief history between these two sides shows 5 league matches in Berwick to date with one win apiece and 3 drawn games. Showing that Saturday could well be a tight battle.
Harvey will still be without Jordan Orru, Kyle Allison and Ouzy See for this game. Aidan Mcllduff will face a late fitness test to see if he can be involved. Bob Wilson is also rated 50/50 for this Saturday.
James McDonaugh is a former Berwick player and will be hoping to keep the pressure on Peterhead at the top of the table. They need to keep winning and hope for another Peterhead slip to get back into the title race. However, a play-off spot will still be a great achievement in only their 3rd season in SPFL football.
Former ‘Ger Blair Henderson will lead the line for the visitors and will be looking for his 28th league goal of the season, almost double anyone else in League Two.
Usual league prices of Adult £12 and Concessions £8 will apply for this fixture. We hope to see as many people turn out as possible to get behind the team. We need your support more than ever as this season draws to a close.
Johnny is confident we have the players to get out of this relegation battle but we will need the help of our loyal support too.
