Match Preview: Berwick Rangers v Arbroath – SPFL Ladbrokes League Two

Weather-permitting, Berwick will play host to Abroath tomorrow knowing that a victory would see the ‘Gers go level on points with their opposition.

Berwick Rangers Team News:

Michael McKenna will be available despite being forced off against Montrose

There are no fresh concerns for manager John Coughlin, who will have a full squad with the exception of only long-term absentees Calum Helm & Euan Bauld available.

In fact, the boss will be boosted by the respective returns of club captain Jonny Fairbairn, tenacious forward Michael McKenna and energetic midfielder Finn Graham, all of whom return from suspension.

Brian Martin could be in line for his full debut after featuring from the bench as a trialist at New Bayview last weekend, though with the return of Fairbairn paired with an impressive debut from Hibs youngster Jordan McGregor, it may require a change to 3-5-2, a tactical switch which we saw in Fife, to see Martin start.

Arbroath Team News:

The Smokies have been busy in the loan market ahead of their trip to Shielfield Park, extending the deal of Rangers youth player Darren Ramsey.

Boss Todd Lumsden also added Queen of the South’s Shaun Rutherford, a left sided defender until the end of the season last week.

And the Angus side’s boss has been active in the market once more ahead of tomorrow’s clash, securing 18 year old forward Josh Skelly on loan from Dundee until May.
